The Shield is the second release for 13 Circles from their debut EP, Embryonic. A deeply personal song, this track moves away from the dark brooding nature of Discontention and highlights the emotive lyrics and attention to melody. This song holds a special place in the hearts of all 4 members of the band and its emotional subject matter is bound to resonate with all listeners. A tribute to Tyson’s late father, the song drives forward with a vulnerability of expression that is captured well by the bands ability to deliver the story and feeling behind every song.
